Paralyzed

This book is about a boy in his senior year of high school. He is playing football against Milbury high school. He intercepted the ball and one of the player on the other team hit him with an illegal tackle and paralyzed himself. Without noticing that a boy was lying behind him paralyzed, Reggie Scott, celebrates his interception. When he finally noticed no one was celebrating with him he turned around and saw Nate Brown lying on the ground with many coaches and the team's doctor around him. After that Reggie wasn't the same old "Stick-'em"( an old nickname the team had gave him) He was before the incident. He had guilt that this was his fault.  His coaches and his parent thought it would be best if he sat out the next game and went to a sports psychologist.  Many times he tried to go visit Nate Brown in the hospital. When he finally got in Nate Brown's mom wasn't to inviting. With the feeling he might get suspended because Mrs.Brown thought it was inappropriate that Reggie celebrated while Nate was on the ground paralyzed. She had pressed charges stating that Reggie shall not play until Nate could play. When the charges were dismissed he went on playing like he used to. He went to go visit Nate in the hospital one last time and this time Nate wasn't in the ICU, He was in the recovery wing. When he visited him he was excited to realize that Nate wasn't mad at him at all. When they played Milbury this time since the game had been rescheduled until now. He was his same old self. The game was about to start and out on the field came Nate for a ceremonial kick off. They played their best against Milbury that night but came up a little short. They lost the game. Although they lost the game it was a win for Reggie that night seeing Nate walk on the field again.

1)Reggie Scott is the main idea and he is a tough linebacker with a reputation for being the best. His teammates and coaches all like him being on the team.
2) The main character changes throughout the book by letting things go. He also works through his problems.
