In the first summary I ended it by saying that Margo has ran away. This is now where it begins. Summary- Q woke up the next morning to see that his mom and dad, Margo's mom and dad and the detective were all sitting at the table. They were asking questions about how Margo was acting a couple days before she disappeared. Margo's parents specifically her mom said that now that she is 18 she will not waste the money to find her because she is the one who wanted to run away. The detective was talking about how Margo always left clues so it was easier to find her. After Q heard that he thought that she wanted him to find her. He was determined to find the clues that would lead him to her. After searching her room the only thing that he found was a book of poems with only a few lines highlighted. The next day when he went to school her best friend Lacey was very concerned about Margo and Q told her about the clues and the Lacey told Q that she wanted to help find her. Q found out that Margo spent most of her time in this old abandoned outlet mall. Q and his friends went to visit it and they found out that Margo spent her time there before she left. This helped them become closer to finding Margo.
Question #8
In the book Paper Towns it took place in present time. The time period is around our time period. It takes place in Florida and New York City. If the time period was changed the whole story would change too. If the story took place in the past they probably wouldn't have had a car to drive. Also they would not have snuck out and done things that teenagers do in this time period.
Question #9
A passage that struck me as significant was when Margo talked about how Orlando was a paper town. A paper town to her is something that acts fake and is not really there. She describes Orlando as that because the people that live there are fake and are just going through the motion. This is a significant passage to me because It talks about how everyone in the world is not who they really are. Also because people are fake and you can't trust everyone.
