The next few parts of the book were told by many different points of views.Such as part 4,which was told by a character named jack.Jack Will is one of Auggies best friends in this novel.But when Jack and Auggie first met it didnt go so well,there teacher asked if he would be Auggies "welcome back buddy" and with quite a bit of hesitation he didnt really want to do it.Most of the students that go to Auggies school dont like to be seen sitting with him at lunch or even talking to him just because he "special" from the other kids.
Question:Has the novel changed you?
I think the novel Wonder has a a pretty good impact on me.I think that because it has taught me that even if a kid in school doesnt look quite the same as everyone else then you should still be nice to them.Like talking to them even if its just a simple conversation.
Question:Are the topics controversial?
I think the topics are very controversial because bullying is a big thing that keeps being brought up.I think the novel,Wonder,is all about how August goes through life beig bullied and not talked to by other kids in his school just because he has a rare face condition.I also think the author R.J. Palacio brings up very good points in the book about how stereotypical kids are.
