As the weeks go by Little Hawk survives the grueling journey to man hood, he returns to his village. To be distraught by his first glimpse of his village. As he moves closer and closer his notices no little kids playing outside, people outside, or even a sound. So he yells. In that very moment his sister comes dashing out of the longhouse towards him. His sister Quickbird is relived to see him once again. She was no longer as upset as before. Little Hawk ask why? As Little Hawk was on his journey the village had done many trades with the white men. They would trade fur, for weapons or farming skills for clothes. But some how we caught a disease, and it spread like a wild fire. Most of the village died. There were a few other people fine, but the rest were a deeply sick.
Question #1 Describe the main character
The main character Little Hawk is a brave and fully hearted person. From going on his journey to become a man. To taking care of the village as the people of it have passed. He's a strong willed and determined person. He is able to overcome any obstacle as it seems. I approve of his actions and believe he is doing the right thing. He returned a man from his journey to become a leader.
Question #2 Themes
The theme is consistent through out the passage. It is seems as the main theme through out the book is to survive. To stride and overcome obstacles given to you. As the author gives many hints of what the main theme is, sometimes yo cant tell. Usually it's about Little Hawk surviving or his manitou, his spirit that he follows for life. Plays an important part in the theme. He guides Little Hawk through out the book. By showing him whats right and wrong.
