The genre of this book is drama and mystery.
This book is about Kenzie and her unpopular friend Molly. Kenzie is still number 5 on the hot list, but still struggles to find out how to stop the killings from happening. On top of that her friend Molly thinks that she's in over her head with popularity. Molly thinks shes using it to much, Kenzie thinks she's "using it to her advantages".
But with Kenzie number 5, she's almost got the guy of her dreams, gets into every party, and gets treated like a queen.
With all of this happening Kenzie is having a hard time telling her mom that she got invited to a party. Her mom is huge with her daughter being "one of those girls".
Kenzie is the only one catching on to the killings. She's the chosen one, the one left to solve the mystery.
Can she do it before her number is next?
Question 6; If i could ask the author one question i would ask her how she thought of the mystery, how she put it all together.
Question 9; A specific passage that struck me was the passage that Kenzie found out she was number 5, it seemed like she was almost depressed but exited at the same time. Kenzie was depressed because she didnt want to leave her friend out in the dust, for a whole bunch of preps. But excited because the moment the list was on the wall, the fame just came to her. Millions on follow requests on all of social media sites. Not to mention the guy of her dreams asked her to go to a party with him. At one point she said "i can not believe me out of all people would be on this list, im a geek and i thought no one even knew me" almost as if it was just ment to be.
