Summary: The beginning of the chapter starts off with her talking about her father and her family. Throughout the chapters she gets teased on by her friends and the people in her school. They still call her "the brat" because shes mean to a lot of people. She doesn't learn to accept things and move on from them.
Question 9: (Talk about specific passages that struck you as a significant- or interesting, profound, amusing, disturbing or sad. What was it that struck you about the passage? why is it memorable?)
One thing that kind of shocked me as a reader was how the main character didn't really change throughout the book. She stayed rude throughout the book. I think it was because her dad passed away so she was taking it out on everyone else.
Question 10: (Think of one way that a person in the story solved a problem. Tell or write what you learned about solving the problem that you could use sometime in solving a problem of your own. What kind of trouble was he/she in? What was the problem to be solved? Do you have any of the same problems?)
One way that one of the characters in the story solved a problem was when "the brats" friends tried to help her through her loss but she didn't really accept their help. If i was in her position i would accept their help and try to move on. I don't have any problems like that in my life right now.
Nice job but I believe you could have done a bigger summary
ReplyDeleteI thought it was also surprising because she has changed in the book from being a total brat to somewhat nice.
ReplyDeleteYour answer to question number 9 makes a lot of scene to me because her dad died that could be why she is so mean.
