READY PLAYER ONE - Ernest Cline

Now i am only at page 76 out of 372 but so far its been invigorating. Its a totally realistic take on a  fictional future. Wade watts is an average teenage boy with no where to go but Up. since the world turned to crap, due to the overpopulation, unemployment, and energy crisis, he is forced into a teenage boys dream, living exclusively online. The virtual reality that kept everyone together and functional is called the OASIS. It was originally given out for free to any one who would take it poor and rich, black and white, male and female, eventually everyone one who could talk and type was using a special head set, motion-responsive gloves, and of course a keyboard to live. You could get jobs and earn real world money, go adventuring , go  to school, or even find the legendary keys. The original creators made this game first then added all that crap. They grew up in the eighties so there is a lot of references to dungeons and dragons, and other games from that era. So they put three secret keys all around the game which was seven times the size of our universe, in proportion to a character model, so finding them would be pretty tough, but wade was devoted to this and the ultimate prize so he study very closely to all the clues that were in anoraks almanac, which was the "bible" of this game and he stumbles upon an extremely important clue to one of the keys.

6.if i could ask the author any thing i would want to know what his main inspirations for this story and if he was pulling from certain artists or writers, do you think that a future like this could be possible. i have not read any other books by him but i am interested in reading armada, which is another one of his books.

8.this story takes place in the year 2044, the setting is extremely imperative to the story, if this took place in the past i don't think the story would make much sense and they would have to excuse the futuristic technology in a time where it doesn't fit and it would be ridiculous and take away from the compelling story that is being told.
