Jacob Buell. "The Contract" by Derek Jeter.

At this point in the book, young Derek is looking up to many of his favorite baseball players. He is really starting to learn what it takes to be one of the greatest to play by watching his idol Dave Winfield. He finds out that Winfield started his own charity fund for young children. Derek knows that he wants to do that when he eventually makes it to the big leagues.

Q5. This ideas in this book aren't that controversial but as a kid Derek always gets reminded by his dad about how important school work is.

Q3. Thai affects my life due to the fact that I also want to be a baseball player when I'm older. This is sort of teaching me.

The Hunger Games, Suzzane Collins, Fiction

At this point of the book Katniss and Peeta have just entered the Hunger Games, but a bunch of events have happen to lead up to this big event. Katniss and Peeta have meet up with a mentor to help them collect the prize and win the Hunger Games. Before the Hunger Games start all the districts and there players competing have a one on one interview with a show host for the Hunger Games. In the start of the Hunger Games many people die right from the start but Peeta and Katniss make it out alive. The district 12 has not won a hunger games in awhile, so lets see if Peeta and Katniss can pull it off.

7. If I could ask the author any question about the book I would ask why did you wanna write a book about this stuff. I would just wanna know why she thought of all these things seen in the book.

8. The time of this book is like in  the 2000's. The history is that people don't have a lot and if they want something they have to work or do something(Hunger Games) for things that are needed.

Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games, Ermin Alemic

Katniss and Peeta are now heading into The Hunger Games where they will meet their mentor Haymitch Abernathy who won The Hunger Games 24 years ago. Haymitch will tell and show them how it was like in the hunger game and, some tricks and tips. Peeta and Katniss then go on an interview and they get a 1 on 1 talk with the host of The Hunger Games Caesar Flickerman. Peeta than tells Caesar that he has a crush on Katniss and, they are now known as the star crossed lovers. Although Katniss does not feel the same way about Peeta she goes along with it and, pretends to show feelings for Peeta aswell to get sponsors for the hunger games so they will get care packages for The Hunger Games. There are little days left for The Hunger Games to start. Will Katniss and Peeta win the money and fame for district #12 or will they both end in a very crucial death.

Question #8 Where in time do you think the story takes place?
I believe that the story takes place in the future. One reason why is because they have all these different and futuristic kind of technology.

Question #6 If you could ask the author one question, what would u ask?
I would like to ask the author why she made it so Peeta had strong feelings for Peeta and, if and story's that she read helped her create this book.

Katie Roberts--Paper Towns--John Green

Summery--Quinton and Margo finally went out, they decided to go to down town Orlando to climb the Sun Trust Building. Margo for some reason already knew the security guard, so they get let in. When they get to the top Quentin shows Margo the view. Margo goes on about how its a a paper town with paper people and paper signs. The next day Quentin asked her the next day in lunch if she wanted to sit with him even though she knew he would take it. He is worried that will run away.

Question:
If I could ask the author anything it's what made you think of a paper town, with paper people. He made the reader actually think like Margo. She didn't see it as a town, she saw it as a fake town with fake people.

Question:
The one page that stood out to me the most is, "it's just a paper town with paper people, and paper signs." This stood out to me because shes saying that the town doesn't mean that much to her because she will eventually leave and she wont come back.

The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle, realistic fiction

In the last half of this book, a lot happens. When I say a lot happens, I mean that Laurel really starts to find the part of herself that isn't only 100% focussed on school. She and David start to become real friends, and maybe more. Her Nana, who she ends up living with after her family dies, and her really start to make a true bond after putting their feelings out in the open. Laurel gets a job at a veterinarian's office, which she actually, to her surprise, really enjoys. I know this all doesn't sound like much, but for Laurel, it means she's finally moving on and living life like she should. At the end of the book she and David face their fear of the accident and go to the place it happened. As they drive down the same road their families did, they realize that it's just a road and not something to be afriad of. Laurel even forgives David's father, though it wasn't easy, and David forgives Laurel for blaming his dad. In the end, as cliche as it sounds, everything really does seem to work out for Laurel. Well, as good as it can be for a teenage girl who lost her family, but gained a new one.

Question answer #2
Yes! Laurel really couldn't get any more different by the end of the book. SHe still cares about her future, but she realizes that when something knocks you down you have to get back up and fight again. Not everything comes easily, and for Laurel that was happiness. She found love, family, and a brand new Laurel in the process of leaving her family behind.

Question answer #5
I think the ending is satifying. Of course I think it would be a bit more appealing if there were a twist at the end, but every now and then you need to read a book with a happily ever after. hat I think makes this happily ever after work is that it doesn't start out happy. Infact it starts out with a deep tragity, and then shows that even after a horrible incedent you can't give up hope, because one day you might get the freedom you deserve. For Laurel that freedom was the freedom of disovering erself in a whole new way.

House Of Night; Betrayed, by Kristin Cast + P.C. Cast, Fiction (Kat Vincent)

  Book 2 in the Series House of Night! Zoey Redbird is now the leader of the "Dark Daughters", being blessed by the Vampyres religion Goddess Nyx, she had been given the gift of affinity to all of the five elements. However, a storm is brewing, a mystery hidden within the school that seemed peaceful. The "Ghosts" she's been seeing turns into something more than what she thought was her imagination in a twisted way that her best friend, Stevie Rae, gets victimized by it. She learns more about her powers as her adventure continues as she unravels the dark mysteries hiding in the dark while protecting and saving her friends. She even finds some human in the cold hearted ex-leader of the dark daughters, Aphrodite (also known as the Hag from hell, nicknamed by Zoey's little group of friends), as she hints and secretly helps Zoey to crack this dark secret behind the suspicion of Neferet, the current High Priestess, and the ghosts that seem to be behind the recent cases of disappearing and then found dead humans. She even went to save her almost-ex-boyfriend, but I won't be telling if she succeeded or not, you'll have to read and find out on your own.

Questions!

  Q# 3;
  The book looks like a long continuous story by how many books were listed inside it for the series. The time line for the story keeps moving forward with the main character Zoey, keeping at view point with her throughout the books I've read. The author may have just wanted the reader to see through the main characters point of view like they felt like they were in the story and so it doesn't get confusing if the view points change.

  Q# 4;
  The theme seems to be the fictional myth of Vampires. The "House of Night" title is also dark and mysterious sounding that can give you the hint it's based on Vampires.
