Mark Watney is your every day typical joe living on a desert like planet that's basically rusting... how lovely.

When we last left off Mark Watney was left for dead on the red planet Mars, but over time and a lot of failures Mark Watney finally cultivate Mars and created a sort of stable way to create water. But now Mark Watney needs to get communication with NASA and the only way to do that is to go to the Ares 4 landing site to retrive the pre launched MVD. The twist for this blog is that the people from NASA already know that Mark Watney is alive from satellite images of the red barren planet. Will Mark Watney reach Ares 4 and get communication to NASA or will he perish due to the harsh environment he has been left in.

Question # 1 

Mark Watney is intelligent, resourceful, a problem solver, good-natured, cheerful, and has a great sense of humor. The story states "...he's very intelligent...he's particularly resourceful and a good problem solver...he's good-natured man. Usually cheerful, with a great sense of humor."(page 89, end of the page). I admire Mark Watney for his will to live and that he's a team player. 

Question # 6
If I could as the author one question I would ask him what had inspired him to write a such a great book that's full of comedy but yet is intense at the same time.

I haven't read any of Andy Weir's other books but after I'm done with The Martian I will definitely grab another one of his books.
