In my book "The Martian" by Andy Weir, there is a mars exploration where there are 6 humans sent up to mars to research the planet, it is called the Aries III mission. On Sol. 18 there was a dust storm. During the dust store a part of their lab was destroyed, forcing them to come back to Earth. While frantically racing back to their ship to take off, back to Earth, one of their crew members, Mark Watney, was blown away by the dust storm and lost. Without him, the rest of his crew took off. On Sol. 19 6:36 AM, Watney wakes up, with a metal rod stuck in his lower abdomen. Fortunately, the metal rod saved his life..now he goes back to one of their Labs on the Aries III base and pulls it out and stitches himself back together, then goes into his room. Now he must figure out a way to contact back with Earth, figure out how to grow food on a planet that doesn't have any form of life on it, and figure out how to save his life.
