As bodies keep appearing in jasper dents' hometown he starts to suspect it has something to do with his dad, billy, who is in jail. He combines forces with the towns police department and uses his knowledge he learned from his dad to help catch whoever is killing these people. He starts breaking into morgues and cemetaries to try to find something about the killer or to somehow catch him in the act of killing.
3) the books structure is very strange, the author does not explain the characters well at first but as you read you find out more and more about the characters but it takes a long time to really understand the past lives of the characters.
6) if i could ask the author of this book one question, it would be where did he get the idea to have the main character combine forces with the police because it seemed strange at first because the main character was doing things that you would normally get arrested for to catch the killer.
