Summary: As time went by, Cap has started to get how things work in C average middle school, there is a big long wedge in between the puny kids and the tough kids, and Hugh Winkleman was pretty much the only puny kid in the school, and Cap's only friend. Well... Cap starts to get better with his job of being class president, and Hugh is pretty much left in the shadow of Cap's popularity, which leaves Hugh furious with Cap. After that popular day at school, the school bus is driving everybody home when the bus driver starts having a heart attack, then Cap rushes to the driver's seat and starts to drive the bus! He then says "where is the nearest hospital?" But everybody is dead silent from fear, "Hospital now!" Cap yells, then Naomi, Cap's "girlfriend", rushes up to Cap and directs him to the hospital. Cap, once again, is arrested but later bailed out by Ms. Donnelly, who isn't furious with him at all. Like what was said earlier, Hugh was furious with Cap and decided to pull a prank on him, with the help of Zach Powers; they decided to put Cap in some other school's football uniform and have him enter the playing field while football practice is going on. So the prank ends up being successful, but Cap was tackled by every football player on the team, leaving him injured. Cap is then rushed to the hospital, fixed up, and everything turned out okay. A few days went by and everybody was starting to get worried about Cap because he wasn't showing up at school, then a rumor started up that Cap was dead which made everyone even more concerned because with Cap gone, that means no Halloween dance, plus Cap was the best president the class has ever had. However, even though Cap was no longer at school, the Halloween dance still went on only it was different. It was more of a memorial service to honor the life of Cap (even though he wasn't dead). At the "funeral" everybody was dressed up in tye-dye and listening to 70s music while holding up candles, that is until Cap arrived. Everybody cheered and shouted with glee but when Cap said that even though he showed up, he could no longer go to C average middle school but he did say goodbye to every student in school which made everyone rejoice again and Cap knew every students name.

2. Does the main character change at the end? Do they learn how the world works?
Yes, towards the end of the book Cap learns about real life physical violence, advanced technology,
use of money, pizza, and the television. I think that it was a good thing that Cap learned about how messed up the world really is, because this isn't the 70s any more and if Cap never learned that, then his adult hood could have been tough and confusing.
