There's some many answers you finally get in this book along with a new power Lex learns aside from Damning which can cause some sort of reset for all souls and, presumably, fix the afterlife which is falling apart. Lex and the gang, along with the knew rookies, are labeled as fugitives as the new 'mayor' of croak goes insane with power, he's already been a douche I'm not surprised, and tries to capture the group as Zara continues her rampage on the innocent. A prophecy comes true, a sad love is torn apart then reunites in the nothingness, and the Grimsphere crumbles as the Grim powers are taken, ungrimed, from all the citizens of the grim world. The last Grim, Annihilation, Damning, Love, Adventure, and Death, this has been one crazy ride ladies and gentlemen! Hope you look at the book, it's worth the try!
Anyway, Questions!;
Question #3:
The books story structure is good, sometimes there's a few flashback here and there but not many, and the characters grow with the story. We even got a glimpse at Grotton's past in one of the books. I think the view points of our usual Lex was shifted some but rarely. I think the author did this mostly to give hints in the story on the upcoming events, adding more mystery or spookiness to the plot. I like the way she used it, giving me hints but they were subtle to not confuse or irritate me.
Question #9; (WARNING SPOILERS!)
The scenes that most struck me in the book were two scenes that were both sad but solved the problem they were in. Pip, one of the two new rookies, had given his life to make his spark glow enough for the group to see in one of the training rooms they were put in to kill their targets in order to save the afterlife by destroying the portal in Necropolis. Then there's the scene at end of the book with Lex. She had gone through so much through the story and for her to just disappear at the end to 'Fix' everything, it's just sad. She had done it herself to honor Uncle Mort's words, yet I just get annoyed when I know she wanted to do the right thing and probably did it better than I imagined but I just didn't like it that way. I wanted to see Lex and Driggs with a happy ending, yes for once, and instead I get a unsolved dark mystery if they're together or not in the end!
