Make lemonade, by Virginia Euwer Wolff, fiction

Jolly is trying her hardest to get her life back together. So the thought of going back to school came to mind, Jolly isn't really up for it though. The one thing Jolly is scared of most is welfare. She is afraid that they'll take her kids away from her because they don't live in a stable environment. So LaVaughn is trying her hardest to convince Jolly to take the offer on going to the moms up program, where Jolly can get so many benefits out of it. Jolly has a big decision to make.

Question #6 If you could ask the author a question... - Why do you have LaVaughn meet Jolly of all people and situations? I think this book is really interesting the way it is laid out and how things happen throughout the book.

Question #7... Has the novel changed you?- In some ways yes it has. This book really shows you how bad some people have it and how much struggle some people go through just to get by in a week.

  1. Does LaVaughn go through the same think Jolly is and is that why she convinced her to going to the moms up program?
