Book 2 in the Series House of Night! Zoey Redbird is now the leader of the "Dark Daughters", being blessed by the Vampyres religion Goddess Nyx, she had been given the gift of affinity to all of the five elements. However, a storm is brewing, a mystery hidden within the school that seemed peaceful. The "Ghosts" she's been seeing turns into something more than what she thought was her imagination in a twisted way that her best friend, Stevie Rae, gets victimized by it. She learns more about her powers as her adventure continues as she unravels the dark mysteries hiding in the dark while protecting and saving her friends. She even finds some human in the cold hearted ex-leader of the dark daughters, Aphrodite (also known as the Hag from hell, nicknamed by Zoey's little group of friends), as she hints and secretly helps Zoey to crack this dark secret behind the suspicion of Neferet, the current High Priestess, and the ghosts that seem to be behind the recent cases of disappearing and then found dead humans. She even went to save her almost-ex-boyfriend, but I won't be telling if she succeeded or not, you'll have to read and find out on your own.
Questions!
Q# 3;
The book looks like a long continuous story by how many books were listed inside it for the series. The time line for the story keeps moving forward with the main character Zoey, keeping at view point with her throughout the books I've read. The author may have just wanted the reader to see through the main characters point of view like they felt like they were in the story and so it doesn't get confusing if the view points change.

The theme seems to be the fictional myth of Vampires. The "House of Night" title is also dark and mysterious sounding that can give you the hint it's based on Vampires.
This kind of makes me want to read this book.
