B For Buster, By Iain Lawrence - Jacob Munger

16 year old Kak, nicknamed after his hometown Kakabeka in Canada, enlists in the Canadian Air Forces. Wanting to join the Air Force to get away from his abusive parents, Kak is trained to be a wireless operator and sent to a squadron in England. Kak is thrilled to go on his first op, as he thinks that it will be the same heroism as he has seen in comic books. But on Kak's first time on a night op, Artillery strikes their plane, B For Buster, and one hit could bring them down.

Question 2: Describe the main character...
The main character is a Canadian teenager named Kak, after his hometown in Canada, Kakabeka. Kak is eager to enlist in the Canadian Air Force to fight for the Allies during World War II to get away from his abusive parents. Kak is a very quiet character I would presume, as he doesn't want anybody to know about his past. He also has some other secrets that he doesn't want anyone to find out about, like the fact that he is only 16, and underage for Military Service. Kak is sometimes worried as well, since some of the people in his squadron he knew lived in his hometown back in Canada.

Question 8: Where in time and history does the story take place?
The story takes place during World War II. The Allied Forces (USA, Canada, England, etc.) are fighting the Axis Forces (Germany in this story) and the main character leaves his home in Canada to join the Air Force.
